We want the Saucony London 10K to be your strongest race yet, and the best possible experience for every runner.
Explore the information below for all the support you need.

BEFORE
RACE DAY
TRAIN SMART
Even if you’re fit and active, a 10K is still a test of endurance. Follow a proper plan and avoid trying anything new on race week.

HYDRATE EARLY

Top up fluids in the days before and limit caffeine or alcohol pre-race.

PRIORITISE SLEEP

A good night’s rest boosts performance and safety.

CELEBRATE AFTER

Skip alcohol 48 hours before, save it for finish line celebrations.
ON THE DAY
CHECK THE FORECAST
Dress for the weather, light layers, sunscreen and a hat if it’s sunny.

PACE YOURSELF

Start steady, especially in the heat. Slow down or stop if you feel unwell.

USE WATER STATIONS

Hydrate along the route and at the finish, small, regular sips help.

DON'T RUN IF YOU'RE ILL OR INJURED

If you’ve had a fever or chest infection, sit it out and recover.
AT THE
FINISH LINE
KEEP MOVING
Walk for a few minutes after finishing to let your heart rate settle.

REHYDRATE AND REFUEL

Collect your water and snack, and cool down gradually.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

Medics are positioned along the course and at the finish, alert a marshal if you need help.

URBAN HEAT

Closed roads and tall buildings can trap warmth, it may feel hotter than forecast.
CROWDS

Spectators bring great energy, but some areas may feel busy. Stay aware and keep to the running lanes.
