JOIN OUR AMAZING
TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS
Our events come to life thanks to our amazing volunteers who bring their energy, enthusiasm and support.
Volunteer roles are varied— you could be welcoming participants, guiding them to the start, keeping runners hydrated at aid stations, or celebrating finishers with medals and goodies!
We are thankful to all our volunteers for giving their time to volunteer at this iconic event.
🎉 As a thank-you, volunteers get FREE entry to a 2026 Motiv Sports event of their choice - Hackney Half, London 10K, Etape Caledonia, Blenheim Triathlon or the Oxford Half Marathon.

Group Volunteering Opportunities
We have a variety of roles that are ideal for groups, whether you're a team of friends, colleagues, or club members. These roles are a great way to experience the buzz of race day together while making a meaningful contribution to the event.
Here’s how your group can get involved:
🎒 Bag Drop Takeover!
Why not own the Baggage Marquee with your colleagues or friends?
Be the first friendly faces our runners see, bring the energy, and run the marquee like pros! It's a fun, fast-paced team role that’s perfect for groups looking to be right in the middle of the event action.
Team up, take charge, and make it yours!
🛑 Box Crossings
Box crossings are designated points where spectators and the public can cross the race route safely. Your group would help manage these crossing points, working with stewards to ensure runner safety while assisting the public. It's a crucial role that requires teamwork, good communication, and a calm, friendly approach—ideal for smaller, focused groups.
💧 Aid Stations
Keeping runners hydrated is essential to the success of the event! At an Aid Station, your group will hand out water, cheer runners on, and help keep the station clean and stocked. It’s a high-energy, rewarding role—great for youth groups, running clubs, or any enthusiastic team looking to make a real impact.
What Next?
Whether you’re part of a running club, youth group, corporate team, or even a knitting circle, we’d love to have a chat about how your group can get involved.
Volunteering as a group can help raise vital funds as we offer £40 per volunteer or a free place into Motiv Spots events (including the new Shoreditch Run if you join as a group!)
Don't hesitate to get in touch with the volunteer team to discuss suitable roles at volunteers@motivsports.co.uk
